In-house calculation of tax values and reporting to the FTA
‘The Federal Tax Administration (FTA) determines the amount liable for profit tax for all categories of share class for each tax year. For funds approved by FINMA for sale to non-qualified investors, these figures must be provided to the FTA by the fund’s Swiss representative. For funds offered for sale solely to qualified investors, tax reporting is only necessary if specifically requested by the FTA, a bank or an investor. In this case, we do not report systematically. Tax values are calculated in house and reported to the FTA.
Appointment of the Swiss Paying Agent
We recommend that you appoint Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE) as paying agent. We have a long-standing business relationship with this bank, which has been chosen by most of our clients. We will draft the paying agent agreement with BCGE, thus entirely releasing you from the task of setting up this compulsory service.
